I have been fortunate to be involved with with a number of community-based organizations to help bring accurate, accessible COVID-19 and general information to members of my local North Carolina Community.
I love teaching procedures that healthcare team members can offer in their ambulatory and primary care offices.
Training and teaching during the Pandemic
We have all learned a lot through teaching and caring for our patients during the pandemic. We adapted our training programs to a new reality. I shared some of this experience as an invited keynote speaker for the Duke Academy for Health Professions Education and Academic Development during the Education Day 2021
Training for Leadership
I have had the opportunity to give invited talks on Leadership in Family Medicine and Primary Care, and Population Health at sessions of WONCA, WONCA Iberoamericana Region, American Academy of Family Physicians, Society of teachers of Family Medicine, and the American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation.
