Family Medicine Residency Director, Duke

I had the immense pleasure of serving as the Director of Duke’s Family Medicine Residency from 2014 through 2020, and Associate PD from 2006 to 2014. I continue to precept during ambulatory clinical encounters and teach gynecological procedures, lecture, and mentor.

Training and teaching during the Pandemic

We have all learned a lot through teaching and caring for our patients during the pandemic. We adapted our training programs to a new reality. I shared some of this experience as an invited keynote speaker for the Duke Academy for Health Professions Education and Academic Development during the Education Day 2021

Training for Leadership

I have had the opportunity to give invited talks on Leadership in Family Medicine and Primary Care, and Population Health at sessions of WONCA, WONCA  Iberoamericana Region, American Academy of Family Physicians, Society of teachers of Family Medicine, and the American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation.
